Over half of UK adults want to move away from the traditional 9-5

More than half of UK adults want to move away from the traditional 9-5, according to research released today by McDonald’s UK.

The poll of 4,000 UK adults aged 16 and above found that 58% of people in full-time employment would like to start earlier than 9am and finish earlier than 5pm, with an 8am start and 4pm finish the most popular option chosen by 37%. A fifth (21%) said they would opt for a 7am start, finishing at 3pm.

    What about those of us who prefer to go to work late. I got through university by studying from 10 pm to 2 am - and those 7 am classes were always going to be a C.
    Perhaps flexible times can include something for those who share my work habits!!
