The top 30 countries for happiness and work-life balance

Research conducted by online home rental company, Spotahome, revealed that the Netherlands topped the chart as the nation with the best work-life balance.

However, Finland ranked first for the nation with the happiest workers, with Norway and Denmark ranking in second and third position.

Melissa Lyras, Brand and Communications Manager at Spotahome, said that while the news was good, more work needs to be done.“It’s great to see European nations taking the lead in helping citizens strike a healthy work-life balance," she said. "However, there’s still room for improvement across other continents.

“The ability to successfully combine work, family commitments and leisure activities are important to our well-being."
