With a heightened focus on the gender pay gap this year, PiR have published a new survey focused around gender and reward in the life science sector.
The Diversity Survey, commissioned by Executive Search and Interim firm PiR, found that the number of women in leadership roles is significantly below the proportion of women in the workforce.
It is interesting to note that the participants - senior executives in the life sciences sector - reflect this disparity, with 76% of participants men and 24% women.

In addition, PiR found that the representation of senior women decreases, as seniority of role increases, with women representing just 26% of VP/Directors and 19% of CXO roles.
