Head of HR violently attacked after sacking employee

A HR head at an Indian-based firm has been shot and wounded – and a disgruntled employee is the suspect.

According to a report by The Economic Times in India, the attack followed after Mitsuba’s Head of Human Resources Binesh Sharma sacked an employee – the suspect in this case - over his ‘unprofessional behaviour.’

Whilst Sharma was on his way to the Japanese-owned company office, the employee, along with an accomplice, attacked Sharma whilst he was in his car. He suffered two gunshot injuries.

The police said Sharma has been admitted to hospital and is out of danger, adding that the investigation is under-way and the suspects are likely to be arrested soon.
