Amazon accused of appalling Ramadan management

Amazon employees are protesting alleged mismanagement of their workloads during the Holy Month of Ramadan in which many observant Muslims will not eat and drink between sunrise and sunset.

The Muslim employees, who work out of warehouse in the US, complain that their working conditions are too hot, and that they are forced to individually load boxes into delivery vans - a task that was once shared by two people. They say this has led to back and kidney pain.

They allege that they brought up these concerns months before the Holy Month of fasting began.

One work said that when they complained a manager said: “If you’re not able to do the job, quit.”
