Commuters are facing travel woes for a third week following a timetable change in May which plunged the rail network into chaos.
The BBC reports that northern rail-franchise Northern has aborted about 2,000 services since new timetables started, with more than 200 cancelled or heavily delayed last Friday.
Thameslink Railway (GTR), which runs southern services Great Northern, Thameslink and Southern, has also introduced a reduced schedule following cancellations and delays, with a spokesman stating that about 160 of its 3,600 daily services have been removed from the network to make for a "more consistent timetable".
Many commuters have expressed fears on social media that their jobs are at risk if these delays and cancellations continue.
