Capita faces possible lawsuit over £20k demands on former employees

Human capital provider Capita are facing potential legal action from former employees over demands for thousands of pounds in fees after they tried to leave – the Guardian reports.

Alongside outsourcing specialist FDM Group, Capita insist graduates carry out three or four months training, for which they are not paid, before they are put forward for work with top companies.

Trainees must then agree to work for two years or be liable for up to £20,000 in fees. Capita demands up to £13,000 from graduates who try to leave before completing their training.

Until last year it demanded up to £21,000 from trainees, who do not receive any pay while attending courses that last a few months.
