A recruitment firm working for Uber accidentally sent a hiring email to the female employee famed for calling out sexual harassment at the firm.
PowerToFly, a recruitment agency which prides itself on diversity recruiting and hiring, sent out an email blast to several women, including Susan Fowler - the woman who wrote a blog post last year, calling out sexual harassment, an aggressive corporate atmosphere and self-serving management at Uber.
And, as you’d expect, Fowler wasn’t having any of it. She posted on the email on Twitter, tagging in the company and its co-Founder, alongside the caption ‘Lol what the heck. Most ridiculous recruiting email ever sent in the history of recruiting emails.’
The PowerToFly email read: “We only partner with companies that are deeply committed to diversity and inclusion and doing what is necessary to help women thrive. Uber is working to transform their culture and we are proud to be a part of that process.”
