Office perks over the Christmas period may be a distant memory, with just 24% of companies planning on throwing their staff an office party this Christmas, and only 15% of companies giving out Christmas bonus.
Research from Willis Towers Watson found that fewer workers will be taking a break over the Christmas holidays, with six out of 10 maintaining productivity throughout the Christmas period, 31% working up until Christmas Eve, and 18% planning to be in the office through to the New Year.
Tom Hellier, Director at Willis Towers Watson, said: “The research’s overall message is that employees are not taking the foot off the pedal this Christmas, with most remaining productive and many working through the Christmas period.”
Festivities in the office are also declining, with only eight per cent having Christmas drinks at the office, and 13% receiving presents from their colleagues.
