Meet Glasgow Airport's newest robotic staff member

A recent addition to Glasgow Airport’s staff body is bringing a smile to the faces of colleagues and customers alike.

GLAdys is a singing and dancing humanoid robot, named after the airport's international code – the BBC reports.

The robot’s main purview entails entertaining passengers in the departure area of the airport with songs, dances and stories. Currently dressed in a snug Santa suit, GLAdys is the very first ‘entertainment’ robot to be used in a UK airport. She’s been brought in as part of the “digital passenger experience project” which aims to increase the consumer engagement through technology.
