Nurse suspended for offering to pray for patient's recovery

A nurse who offered to pray for elderly patients waiting for surgery has been fired for gross misconduct.

Sister Sarah Kuteh, who has over fifteen years of experience, was accused of having ‘unwanted discussions’ with patients, which may have caused upset and ignored conduct guidelines on discussing personal beliefs – The Telegraph reports.

According to the Daily Mail, the mother-of-three is suing Darent Valley hospital in Dartford, Kent for unfair dismissal.

Kuteh claims she was suspended and escorted from the hospital in what she describes was a “disproportionate and punitive” reaction.
