The key to an innovation culture: 'Ignore HR & ROI'

The Founder and Executive Chairman of Founders Factory, Brent Hoberman, spoke out recently on the relationship between HR and innovation.

Campaign reports that, whilst speaking at Unbound London 2016, Hoberman claimed one way brands can encourage innovation is by forgoing their normal business practices and taking risks - "try stuff and fail and ignore HR and ROI”.

“One of the biggest challenges in corporates is tenure," he commented. "They become wonderful to stay at for too long and that way you don't get new thinking.

"Start-ups should have creative chaos, everyone should be stretched beyond their comfort zone and have more responsibility than they get anywhere else."
