'Ashamed' jobseeker rejected by text due to pregnancy

Jobseeker Holly Holden has been rejected from a cleaning job at Morrisons before her first day because she was pregnant – The Sun reports.

She was offered the job by TC Facilities Management (TCFM) for the three-hour night shift on a three-month contract.

However, before her first day she received a Facebook message saying: “Hi Holly, sorry I’ve just finished work, I’m really sorry but my Area Manager has overruled my decision to take you on as you’re due in April and has someone else in mind for the job. If you want a job after you’ve had [the] little baby then please come back, sorry.”

Holden said the rejection made her feel “ashamed of being pregnant”.
