Prime Minister (PM) Theresa May has threatened to sack anyone who leaks Government splits or secrets to the press… a leaked memo has revealed.
The memo – written, not emailed, to shorten the chance of a leak – also reveals that May will make cabinet members use Whitehall mobile phones – which can be monitored.
The memo, by Head of the Home Civil Service Sir Jeremy Heywood, was leaked to The Mail on Sunday; they called May’s actions “draconian,” and likened her decision to a “Big Brother-style crackdown”.
The memo was titled: “OFFICIAL: SENSITIVE. Security of Information.”
