Google boss struggles to answer own job interview question

Google are renowned for their off-the-wall yet purposeful interview questions.

But can one of their own answer them?

Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Alphabet and former Google CEO, was asked such a question at a recent Summit at Sea conference, Quartz reports.  

He was asked the following question, which is now out of service due to being terrible at identifying the right candidate: “You’re the captain of a pirate ship and you find a chest of gold. Your crew gets to vote on how the gold is divided up. If fewer than half of the pirates agree with you, you die. How do you recommend apportioning the gold in such a way that you get a good share of the booty but still survive?”
