Theresa May says Brexit keeps her up at night - how to create a stress-free workplace

The biggest political event in years, perhaps decades, is, unsurprisingly, giving Theresa May sleepless nights.

Stress affects everyone, but it's still a relatively taboo subject – one in four Brits have taken time off work due to stress but blamed it on physical illness, Aviva found earlier this month.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, May explained why Brexit was causing sleepless nights: “Well, it is a moment of change. It is a hugely challenging time. And we need to get on with the deal in terms of Brexit. And I’m very conscious of that. I want to make sure that everything we do ensures Britain is a country that works for everyone. And that we really get out there and forge a new role in the world post-Brexit. We can make a success of it, we will make a success of it. But these are really complex issues.”

She went on to say how she coped with the pressures: “It’s not so much about how do you steel yourself, it’s about, ‘Are you doing the right thing?’
