The key to getting a HR technological transformation right comes down to one thing: communication.
Speaking at Corehorizon 2016, Denise Kennedy, Head of HR at Fáilte Ireland, discussed her company's latest change involving HR tech, and how she overcame the issues it posed.
She said that communication is key before, during, and after the transformation.
"You tell them, then you tell them what you've told them, and then you tell them that again," she reiterated.
She also emphasised the importance of ensuring all members of staff are on the same page: "Take time to go through [the new tech] with the team." For example, during this change she booked an entire day with the team to ensure this mantra was enacted.
It is important, she continued, to have "strong influencers who bring people with them" on board as, she confessed, "no [similar] project I've been on has been a peice of cake."
She also noted that, in these situations, "it is better to have incremental change than a Big Bang.
"And, I can't emphasise this enough, sit down with your staff and learn."
Declan McGonigle, Director of Commerical Success, at CoreHR, added that it is vital for both teams to work well together in order for any project like this to be successful.
