What do the election results tell us about our values?

Most of us will have had a visceral reaction to the US election result.

Why? Because, much like with Brexit, it touched upon our values - the deep internal navigation principles we use to make decisions, says Alistair Shepherd, Founder of Saberr.

Speaking to Executive Grapevine, he explains the importance of values when it comes to resonating with and supporting leaders, and how differing values can be a strength.

He says: “To put this into context, let’s look at how values play into the narrative of recent presidential candidates. Research from Saberr tells us that, minor variations aside, all candidates from the past 16 years of presidential nominations overwhelmingly convey the same values of change and benevolence in their speeches.
