Was Hillary Clinton's defeat partly down to unconscious bias?

Hillary Clinton, in her concession speech, said that she had failed to shatter “that highest and hardest ceiling" but optimistically added: “Someday, somebody will.”

Was this down to unconscious bias?

She also tweeted: 

"To all the little girls watching...never doubt that you are valuable and powerful & deserving of every chance & opportunity in the world."
