What HR should do in the wake of Trump becoming President

Many woke up this morning in shock at the news of Donald Trump being elected as the 45^th President of the United States.

And, in a year that saw Leicester City FC win the Premier League and the UK vote to leave the EU, this must be the biggest shock of all. The context of all this is important: change.

Opening the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition today, Peter Cheese, CEO of the CIPD, emphasised the need for HR now more than ever. 

The economic challenges that Brexit brings, and the growing social divides and growing distrust towards the ‘establishment’, requires businesses to take meaningful action to deal with issues that have been avoided or misunderstood in the past.
