Social media giant Facebook could be about to impinge on LinkedIn’s USP, after it was reported that the site will now be listing jobs online.
TechCrunch spotted the new ‘Jobs’ tab, and Facebook has since confirmed that they will be experimenting with a new wave of recruitment-style features.
A spokesperson for Facebook told TechCrunch: “Based on behaviour we’ve seen on Facebook, where many small businesses post about their job openings on their Page, we’re running a test for Page admins to create job postings and receive applications from candidates.”
This new feature could pose direct competition to sites such as LinkedIn, allowing Pages to share job openings with similar details, such as salary, title and working hours.
