Why are workers nationwide bringing their parents to work?

Today, LinkedIn announces the return of it’s Bring In Your Parents Day for the fourth year running.

The initiative was launched after research found that more than one in three parents have no idea what their children actually do for a living.

In the UK especially, where there are low levels of workers over the age of 50, this is a good way of encouraging greater sharing of skills across generations, and a small step towards connecting older workers with new opportunities in the workplace.

Firms as big as ASOS are among the 30+ companies to have signed up to take part.
