What it's like to work at a firm bigger than Microsoft, Google & IBM combined

Online retailer Amazon is a veritable giant of the e-commerce world – known to sell everything from clocks to carrots.

However, it seems that the actual driving power behind Amazon’s virtual store is Amazon Web Service (AWS), which is twice as big as Microsoft, Google, & IBM combined – Business Insider reports.

The publication looked through employee reviews from Glassdoor and Quora to glean what it’s like to work for this business superpower.

According to their findings, the work can be demanding and rather intense, with some staff having to be on-call late. Manoj Kumar, Software Engineer at AWS Elasticache, comments: “Being on a fast-growing service, work can be intense sometimes and on-call can be hectic.”
