1 in 3 UK employees fear redundancy in next 6 months

Almost one in three UK employees are concerned they will be made redundant in the next six months.

Job insecurity amongst UK employees has increased this year by five percent from Q1, the Glassdoor UK Employment Confidence Survey (ECS) has shown.

Confidence amongst millennials was even lower - 39% fear losing their job in the next six months, a notable increase on the 28% reported in Q1.

Two fifths (40%) of employees remain confident that switching jobs will result in them getting a pay rise in the next twelve months. However, young workers (16-24) expecting a pay rise in the next twelve months has fallen from 44 to 40% this year.
