Hiring in the UK has fallen, following the UK’s decision to leave the European Union.
According to recruitment agency Hays, hiring in London was significantly affected, with the company's income from recruitment in the capital plummeting by 17%.
Year-on-year income for Hays' UK temping business also dropped, by 11%.
As reported in The Telegraph, Paul Venables, Hays' Finance Director, said the referendum was to blame: "I don’t think the referendum result was what was expected or wanted by large parts of the business community, including the financial services."
