Formula that predicts divorce can also help improve staff retention

A formula that successfully predicts divorce with 80%, sometimes 90%, accuracy has been applied to workplace retention.

Writing in The Conversation, Irit Alony, a Professor at the University of Wollongong, in Australia, details the similarities between divorce and employee’s leaving their employer.

She co-wrote a paper, titled ‘My lawfully wedded workplace: identifying relational similarities of marriage and employment’ and published in Personnel Review, on the subject last year.

Those who participated in the study were asked to list good and bad experiences they had gone through with past organisations.
