Star Wars' John Boyega turns temporary employee for Southeastern

Railway firm Southeastern has seen Star Wars star John Boyega come on their books as a temporary employee.

His connection to the rail company is his sister, who works for the firm.

Boyega, who left his employer at short notice for a rival firm in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, did his best to boost morale for both staff and travellers. Boyega’s short spell has also helped their employer brand.

One commuter discussed the journey with News Shopper: “All through the journey John made about 15 announcements relaying stories about all the stops on the way.

“He told passengers that he would try to make sure that he uses The Force to make the train go at light speed.

“At one point, towards the end of the journey, he even started singing to all the passengers.”

He later took to Instagram to thank his sibling and her “amazing colleagues”.
