Tech giant Apple has no shortage of candidates looking to secure a sought-after role in the company. And yet, recent reports have emerged of a semi-secret employment programme, which people are comparing to a cult recruitment scheme.
The “Apple Orchard scheme” was looking for 4 art directors, 4 copywriters and 2 strategic planners – however, the language used in the job ad has struck an uncomfortable chord with some applicants.
One user tweeted: “This idea is great, but holy s*** is this page ugly. If I apply, can I fix it for Apple?”
Another asked: “Is Apple starting a cult?”, whilst another asked: “Is it only me, or is Apple's intro text to job openings a bit weird/creepy?”
