Top 10 cities for job satisfaction revealed

There are many factors that contribute to happiness at work, but it seems there are certain places with more satisfied employees than others.

LinkedIn’s recent Work Satisfaction Survey revealed the top 10 cities for job satisfaction in the UK. The survey, which questioned more 10,000 LinkedIn users globally and measured their career happiness levels, found that the city with the most jubilant staff was Brighton – with 48% saying they were ‘very’ or ‘completely’ fulfilled by their jobs.

Job satisfaction is made up of a number of variables, including reward, relationships with co-workers, opportunities for promotion and workload.

And while certain cities, such as London, may offer more opportunity and higher wages than other cities in the UK, work-life balance may be a reason why satisfaction levels increase outside the capital.
