On average we spend about a third of our life at work – which is why it’s important to enjoy what we do.
Furthermore, almost two-thirds (65%) of employees would take a pay cut in exchange for a better work-life balance, and 58% of would take a pay cut in order to feel happier in their jobs according to research by LinkedIn.
However it appears that these factors are lacking – over half (57%) of employees responded negatively to the question ‘Do you love your job?’ in Emolument.com’s latest survey.
Job satisfaction also varied with roles, with Human Resources professionals reported higher job satisfaction than other roles when asked if they love their job.
