Investigating issues of misconduct and taking disciplinary action are usually HR's responsibility.

However, the case of Ramphal v Department of Transport, raises issues about how much involvement HR should have when it comes to disciplinary hearings.

The case followed Ramphal, who worked as an Aviation Security Compliance Inspector for the Department for Transport.
