Plane makes emergency landing for worker trapped in cargo

A plane traveling from Portugal to Angola was forced to make an emergency landing after it emerged that an employee had become trapped inside the cargo hold.

The Angola Airlines flight landed in Lisbon after staff were made aware that a worker had gone missing and was presumed to be locked inside the underbelly of the plane.

Fortunately, the employee was found alive though suffering from severe hypothermia. The Ground Worker’s Union reported to the AV Herald that the worker was loading boxes into the plane when he fell and became unconscious.

The plane then departed without any supervisor having noticed that a worker was missing up until almost one hour later.
