Businesses urgently need to realise the value of older workers, a survey commission by McDonald’s has found.
The fast food firm spoke to 1,800 older workers across the UK to find out what they want from the world of work and to better understand how to support them as an employer.
88% agreed that flexibility and time to commit to their outside interests is critical when deciding whether to commit to a role or not.
Four out of five put making friends in the workplace as level with job enjoyment; 62% also said that a friendly and sociable working environment is key.
