Thousands of workers at Marks & Spencer (M&S) could lose their job if they refuse to agree to changes in their pay and pension – according to Siobhain McDonagh, MP for Mitcham and Morden.
The new pay changes will see the premium for working Sundays and anti-social hours removed. Bank holiday payments and pension payments will also be pared down - The Guardian.
McDonagh said 2,700 staff would lose more than £1,000 a year and 700 would lose more than £2,000.
However, M&S says 90% of its employee populous will be better off as a result.
