A woman has declined a job interview with The Body Shop after being told to wear “a full face of make-up”.
Brenna MacPhee thought that the requirement to wear a full face of make-up to the job interview clashed with the company brand, which on their website claims they "celebrate the diversity of people and rejects a stereotype of beauty."
Master’s degree student MacPhee said she applied online for a part-time job as a Customer Consultant at a location in Toronto, Canada.
After the company confirmed that she had been selected for an interview, MacPhee received an email containing information about the requirements, including time, location and dress code.
