One in ten of the population are estimated to have dyslexia - and educational institutions and the workplace are failing to update their attitudes accordingly.
With many highly successful people living with the disorder - including Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Branson and Keira Knightley - there is still an ignorance surrounding it.
Speaking to HR Grapevine, Debra Charles, CEO of Novacroft, aims to wash the cobwebs off these outdated perceptions through the campaign to profile dyslexic talent during Dyslexia Awareness Week.
As one of the estimated 20% of dyslexic entrepreneurs in the UK, she said that she has faced the barriers of dyslexia since school, but has now learnt how to overcome and embrace her disability.
