Over half of candidates value organisations' ethics when jobseeking

Companies are missing out on top tier talent by not promoting their values to prospective candidates, according to a report by LinkedIn.

The report, entitled LinkedIn’s global HR survey, found that sharing an organisation’s purpose is now critical to more than half of UK professionals (52%) when considering accepting a job offer, and even more so for younger workers (56% of 16-24 year olds).

However, despite these figures, the report found that only a small number of UK employers are currently promoting their organisation’s values when advertising roles to potential new recruits.

36% of the HR and recruiting professionals that were surveyed said that their values are missing from their company’s official website – 77% claimed they don’t even mention them on their firm’s LinkedIn page.
