Almost a third (28%) of women feel more confident asking for a pay rise or a promotion over the phone, in comparison to just 18% of men.
The research, conducted by Powwownow on over 2,000 employees, found that 21% of women feel more comfortable when speaking over the phone (as opposed to in person), compared to just 14% of men.
17% of women also said that they would prefer pitching to a client over a conference call compared to only 10% of men.
Female employees also prefer receiving a disciplinary over the phone than in person, compared to 89% of men who men prefer to speak face-to-face with their boss over any issues.
