A weighty salary and benefits package, followed by job security constitute part of the package for the perfect job.
According to a survey of 8,100 UK employees by Randstad, 22% of respondents value a competitive salary and benefits package over any other work perks. 16% named long-term job security as their number one factor, and work/life balance took third place (nine per cent.)
Location, invigorating tasks and a pleasant atmosphere were also a priority for respondents.
The majority of the UK considered a competitive salary and benefits package as top; however, those in Wales, the North East and Northern Ireland placed the most value on long-term job security.
