A devoted employee made the unique decision to donate his entire life savings to his former employer – a sum amounting to $4million (£3million).
Robert Morin worked as a librarian at the University of New Hampshire (UHN), USA, for nearly 50 years; entering data, writing short descriptions on CDs and cataloguing books, The Union Leader reports.
However, despite the relatively low-paying job, by the early 2000s Morin’s financial advisor claims he had already saved $1million (£750,000) in his retirement account alone. Mullen told the media that Morin never really went out, he drove an old car and lived on frozen dinners.
And since Morin had no family, he wanted to donate the money to the place he loved the most.
