Netflix has been famed for their enviable work culture, which includes unlimited holidays, a relaxed expense policy and ‘no rules’.
The success of Netflix is evident in their turnover, which stands at $7 billion (£5.23billion) a year from 81 million subscribers to their online streaming service – Forbes reports.
Their PowerPoint presentation, named the “Netflix Culture Deck” was described by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, as “one of the most important documents to come out of Silicon Valley,” and it has been viewed millions of times across the globe.
Within the presentation, Netflix leaders explain why they don’t implement rules: “rule-driven companies can’t keep up and lose customers to competitors who adapt. In such an environment, slow-moving, rule-oriented companies grind ‘painfully into irrelevance".
