Life science industry employees value flexible working higher than any other employee benefit.
Flexible working schedules could even tempt 70% to move elsewhere, if a different company was offering them, research by ProClinical found.
62% of respondents said that they already enjoy this benefit with their current employer, and a further 15% are hoping to see this added to their current package.
The survey, on over 750 individuals employed by pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and clinical research organisations, across 30 European countries, found that among the most valued benefits were flexible working hours, followed by pensions (both contributory and benefit type), and benefits that showed employers care about their workers’ lives outside of the office.
