McDonald's throws retirement party for long-serving worker with learning disability

Employees at a branch of fast food chain McDonald’s have gone above and beyond to showcase their appreciation for a colleague.

Staff at an outlet in Massachusetts, USA, threw a retirement party for worker Freia David, who has Down's syndrome and has been employed with the franchise for over three decades.

“It was nice, I’m really happy,” David told WBZ-TV news. “I like all my friends here.”

Local news station, CBS Local, reported that all of her co-workers, her family and friends came out to celebrate with her.
