Best UK companies for work-life balance revealed

Glassdoor has today revealed the top 20 highest rated UK companies for work-life balance, with a surprising number of well-known firms losing their position on the list.

The companies were rated according to a minimum number of 50 work-life balance ratings submitted by UK-based employees between 31 July 2015 and 30 July 2016. 

London-based financial recruiter Goodman Mason came first, above Cisco Systems and Homeserve UK. Companies that didn’t quite make the top 20 this year include Google, GlaxoSmithKline, Network Rail and the BBC.

Diarmuid Russell, Glassdoor's Head of International, commented: “Maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be tough in today’s environment, with ever-increasing demands on our time. However, as millions of UK employees head back to work after enjoying the August bank holiday, our report shows there are companies that offer a good balance between their home and work life.
