Policeman sacked for gross misconduct following series of offensive tweets

A policeman has been sacked for gross misconduct after posting a series of offensive tweets.

PC Graham Wise of Cleveland Police used Twitter to write abusive comments about celebrities. He called former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook a “washed up cokehead with one nostril.”

Wise previously policed the estate where the Channel 4 show Benefits Street was filmed, and tweeted The Gazette newspaper saying: "Bulldoze it, preferably with the majority of people still inside it,” according to a forces disciplinary hearing in Middlesborough. 

He admitted to sending the tweets from the canteen of Cleveland Police’s headquarters whilst on breaks.
