FTSE 100 CEOs received average pay rise of 10% last year

The High Pay Centre’s annual report on earnings at FTSE 100 firms has found the average remuneration package for FTSE 100 CEOs has risen from £5million in 2014 to £5.48million last year, an increase of nearly ten per cent.  

Comparatively, wages rose two per cent for the average worker last year, according to the Office for National Statistics.

When pensions and other bonuses are taken into account, top bosses typically earn 129 times more than their workforce.

Stefan Stern, Director of the High Pay Centre, said: “There is apparently no end yet in sight for the rise and rise of Chief Executive pay packages.
