A new survey has shed light on how American workers feel about the CEO-to-worker pay ratio.
PayScale surveyed over 22,000 people across industries, job functions and income levels between 9 June 2016 and 10 July 2016.
They found that more than half of workers don’t know how much their CEO makes, but 21% of those that did know thought it was excessive, compared to 79% who didn’t have a problem with it.
Among those who were aware of their CEO’s pay, the approval rating stood at 84% and 82% for director- and executive-level staff, and 79% and at the job level of individual contributor.
