SpaceX HR Chief: 'It's a myth' we overwork staff

Former employees at space technology company SpaceX have complained in the past of long hours and low pay, with some even filing lawsuits alleging that the firm violated labour laws.

SpaceX is the brainchild of Elon Musk, the tech genius who also has links to Tesla Motors, SolarCity and PayPal.

However, SpaceX's HR Chief, Brian Bjelde, has publically pushed back the notion that they treat their employees badly during a Reddit Ask Me Anything.

He explained: “We recruit people who are incredibly driven by our mission, but it’s a myth that most of our employees are working 100 or even 80 hour weeks on a regular basis.
