Saatchi & Saatchi sexism row: 'Women do want top jobs' says female executive

Female employees “do want the top jobs” at leading firms, says a senior executive at Saatchi and Saatchi.

Following the comments made by Saachi Agency Chairman Kevin Roberts - who suggested that women didn’t want more senior roles in advertising - Kate Stanners, their Global Chief Creative Officer, reacted to the dispute during BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

Stanners said that Roberts’ comments had upset a “huge” number of workers, claiming that women “don’t bail out, and do want the top jobs.”

She went on to say that the most important thing was “encouraging women to be more vocal and more high-profile, so younger women, and women coming through the ranks, can see it is possible and there is no reason why they can't take those jobs.”
