Fired hotel staff work for free to give couple dream wedding

Staff working at a hotel went above and beyond their purview by saving a couple’s wedding after it was announced the venue was closing down.

Employees at South Marston Hotel and Leisure Club were made redundant after it was announced that the venue was closing down. However, the dedicated workers pleaded with auditors to keep the club open until a later date, just so Adam Sanders and Amanda Mularczyk could have the wedding they paid for.

According to the Mirror, around twelve staff turned up to cater to the wedding, despite the fact they knew they would not be paid for their time.

The couple had spent £4,200 reserving the venue two years ago, and only found out that the club was closing down when Sanders went to drop off items for the reception- according to reports, staff were forbidden from telling anyone that the venue was closing down.
